TAKING THE CHURCH TO WHERE YOU LIVE

Church on Your Block Sunday is our attempt at being what the Church was always meant to be...a people who found hope in Jesus  leading others toward Jesus, through their head, heart, and hands.

Our goal for these events is to share Jesus with our communities in fun filled, engaging environments. We want every person to leave these events feeling valued, seen, loved, and knowing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We believe God has always desired to partner with His people to glorify Himself and bring about His purposes on this earth (Gen.1:28, Eph. 2:10). His desire is that "none should perish" in their sin but that "all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9). But this can't happen without someone sharing the "good news" of Jesus (Romans 10:14) with others. Church On Your Block, follows the examples of Jesus and Paul, to go where people are instead of waiting on them to come to us. We believe COYB events are a great way to accomplish this goal.

With multiple COYB events going on, no two will look identical. but each one will share some common factors, such as: 

FOOD - We believe God is the great provider, so every COYB event will have food. (ie. hot dogs, and chips, drinks)

FUN - We believe the ability to enjoy things is a gift from God so when you think church you should think fun. Each COYB event has games, prizes, and special things just for kids. 

MUSIC - We believe music helps us tell our stories and helps us tell the story of Gods love toward us. Every COYB event will have upbeat, encouraging music, safe for all ages, to help tell the story of the day.

PRAYER - We believe God is a great listener and a good Father who wants to do good for His creation.  There will be private prayer available to any and all who may want prayed for on the COYB event
